The Paraklesis Service to the Most Holy Theotokos is a service of supplication addressed by Orthodox Christians to the Virgin Mary in times of great personal or public need is a new contemporary musical setting for SATB Acapella Chorus.  This book is a standalone volume for Priest and Choir with no need for supplementary books and sheet music. The composition also accommodates choirs of any size.  It can be sung in its full grandeur with four, to seven-part, traditional Russian style choir, or could be song with just a handful of singers distributing parts to Melody and accompaniment.   Even the refrain to the canon, “Most Holy Theotokos, save us”, is so simple and melodically appealing, that the congregation will be able to sing along after first hearing without need of instruction.
