This new musical composition, ‘Placing of the Most Holy Belt of the Holy Theotokos’ for SATB Chorus by Robert Sirico is an original acapella setting of the complete vespers Stichera, Litya, Apostica, and the Troparion for the Feast of the Holy commemoration of the Holy Belt of the Mother of God.
Use this score as a compendium to the service music for the liturgical celebration on August 31st, highlighting the festal hymnology in beautiful polyphonic stichera, or perform them independently as pre-communion hymn, or even as concert repertoire.
Either way, these beautiful musical selections will spiritually edify the congregation by appealing to the familiar old aesthetic of sacred music while presenting something new to a soul thirsting for hallowed sounds.
